I am a freelancer in Christchurch and surrounding Canterbury, New Zealand in content creation and marketing. I specialize in videography, website development, social media creation / curation, metrics reporting, branding, lead generation and database management, search engine optimization, email and petition campaigns, graphic design, photography, and production coordination.
Over the last 15 years, clients have ranged from amazing non-profits to world-renowned businesses such as Montessori STARS Preschool, the Sea Lion Trust, City of Ithaca, NY, InkDwell, Pups Rescue, Cornell University, the Discovery Channel, Save the Whales, Sea Studios Foundation, NatureFootage, Light and Motion, and Monterey Public Schools.
I am skilled in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Flash, Illustrator, and After Effects. I design websites using Drupal and WordPress.org. I have training in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools like Salesforce, Mailchimp, and EveryAction.
I have Bachelors’ degrees in Photography and Science, and a Postgraduate degrees in Natural History Filmmaking and Communication. For my Master’s thesis, I created an award-winning children’s film called Why don’t we ride zebras? in combination with a paper entitled “Moving Beyond Broadcast and Traditional Pedagogy, Creating and Children’s Documentary for the New Media Landscape.” Within the thesis, I proposed a hypothetical informal educational web portal called PodclassTV (this also my social media handle).
